Ha Giang & Northeast Vietnam

Probably the most spectacular motorbike route in Northern Vietnam, featuring high mountain roads, dramatic passes, deep valleys, limestone peaks, and remote ethnic minority villages. This is where you can experience the Real Vietnam and discover some of the country’s most impressive landscapes and traditional cultures. The route combines challenging mountain riding with opportunities to meet local people and experience life away from the main tourist areas. 8-11 days, from 1,500 km++.

A relatively easy motorbike route in Northern Vietnam offering a combination of rice terraces, mountainous countryside, ethnic minority cultures, jungle-covered national parks, and traditional homestays. This region is ideal for riders who want beautiful scenery and cultural experiences without extremely demanding riding conditions. 3-10 days, 490-1,800 km. The level of difficulty: Easy!

A fantastic Northeast Vietnam motorbike adventure, particularly popular during the summer months. The route passes through spectacular limestone karst landscapes, with side trips to waterfalls, ethnic minority villages, traditional homestays, beautiful lakes, and national parks. It offers a great combination of mountain riding, local culture, and natural scenery. 5-7 days, 760-1,100 km. The level of difficulty: Moderate!

This classic Northwest Vietnam motorbike route heads toward the historic Dien Bien Phu battlefield while passing through an incredible variety of landscapes. Expect high mountain passes, deep valleys, rice terraces, ethnic minority villages, and traditional homestays along the way. It is an excellent choice for riders looking for a longer Northern Vietnam motorcycle adventure away from the busiest tourist routes. 6-10 days, 1,000-1,300 km. The level of difficulty: Moderate!

By connecting the four routes above, we can create a Great North Loop of Vietnam, normally lasting between 14 and 18 days. This is one of the most comprehensive ways to explore Northern Vietnam by motorbike, combining mountains, valleys, ethnic minority cultures, national parks, remote roads, and spectacular scenery. With this route, you can experience many of the highlights of Northern Vietnam in one long adventure rather than taking several shorter tours. 14-18 days, 2,400-3,500 km. A challenging Ho Chi Minh Trail motorbike adventure combining off-road and paved-road riding along sections of the historic trail and modern highway. This is a long-distance journey offering a different perspective on Vietnam, combining history, remote countryside, and challenging riding. 9-16 days, 1,200-2,050 km. Probably one of the best options for riders who have only two days available. This short Mai Chau motorbike tour is essentially a mini Northwest loop, offering beautiful mountain scenery, quiet roads, local villages, and a traditional homestay experience. The homestay adds great value to the trip and allows you to experience local culture more closely. Short and easy riding: 2 days, approximately 400 km. The level of difficulty: Easy!
